DSRAD 2026 Public Art Program

The Downtown San Rafael Arts District is excited to announce a call for artists for five public art opportunities in the Downtown San Rafael Arts District for installation in 2026. Artists and artist teams are invited to apply, including mural opportunities for California-based artists and sculpture opportunities for all US-based artists. Applications are coordinated through Local Edition Creative.

Downtown San Rafael has been designated one of 14 California Cultural Arts Districts by the California Arts Council (CAC). This program is made possible through a generous grant from the CAC to help grow and sustain arts and culture opportunities in the community.

Deadline to submit application:

July 25, 2025 by 5:00pm PT

Review of applications will be ongoing throughout the open period. Artists are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
